Dissonance

In this South Florida premiere, Brévo Theatre presents a heart-warming conversation between two friends of 20 years that explores the international hurt following the murder of George Floyd and how it impacts both these Black and White American women. Angela and Lauren met in graduate school, became godmothers to each other’s children, and are now starting a new business. As they open their coffee cafe in a historic Black neighborhood in Pensacola, Florida, they uncover deeply-held perceptions that threaten to dismantle their friendship.
