As part of our “Freshly Rooted” series, and co-produced with the Roxy Theatre Group and The Warten Foundation, the world premiere of Me & My Miami: The Musical is a vibrant, heartwarming celebration of culture, family, and truth, set in the colorful streets of Miami. The show follows three local teens—Rosa, Fuquan, and Joseph—who have been selected to perform at the Dade County Farmers Market Arts Festival, representing the very best of Miami’s youth.

As the drums roll and the city comes alive in a kaleidoscope of movement and sound, the young artists prepare to share their talents. But as their performances unfold, so do unexpected revelations, personal stories and family secrets that challenge what should be kept at home and what deserves to be heard.

Blending music, dance, and spoken word, Me & My Miami is a joyful and thought-provoking journey that explores generational truth-telling, cultural pride, and the universal desire for connection, healing, and home. It’s a love letter to Miami—and to the families who live, grow, and dream within it.

This program is supported in part by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
